Join National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Wade Davis as he ventures deep into the South American rainforest to encounter an ancient people who continue to live in close harmony with the natural world. Davis hopes to understand the unique worldview of these river people, to learn the secrets of their survival and to document an important event never before filmed, the Cassava bread ritual. To do so he must travel into the Amazon forest to meet the people of the River Pir�-paran�. There he encounters four closely related people living on the river, including the Barasana.
